The Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) crusher specializes in sand making and shaping. Utilizing the high-speed "rock-on-rock" or "rock-on-iron" collision principle, it delivers energy-efficient performance with superior cubic product shapes. Ideal for medium-hard to hard materials like rocks, ores, and construction waste, it is extensively used in the aggregates, mining, and solid waste recycling sectors.






Material enters through the feed inlet and drops into the high-speed rotating impeller. Accelerated by centrifugal force, it is thrown out and collides at high velocity with either other material ("rock-on-rock") or metal impact plates ("rock-on-iron") to achieve primary crushing. Subsequently, a self-circulating flow forms within the vortex crushing chamber, where the material undergoes repeated impact and attrition to complete fine crushing and shaping. Finally, qualified finished products are discharged from the bottom. This process relies on material-to-material collision to efficiently achieve crushing and particle shape optimization.
